Input formats: JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, BMP, GIF, TIFF/TIF, SVG. GIF output becomes a still image. TIFF uses the first page/frame. HEIC/HEIF and TIFF files are converted locally before compression.
Output formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF where the browser supports it. PNG is lossless and may be larger for photos. JPG/WebP are usually best for shop photos.

ZIP note: images are already compressed, so ZIP mainly packages everything into one easy download. ZIP packaging runs in a Web Worker, so the page stays responsive.

Unsupported in this browser-only version: camera RAW files like DNG, CR2, NEF, ARW, RAF, ORF, RW2, and PSD/AI design files — those need a heavier desktop app or server-side converter.

Why the first version showed “no savings”: if the original photo is already a small JPG and you keep the same dimensions, re-saving at 80% can become larger. This version resizes and targets a smaller file size.
